Saving Money Over The Christmas Period

Dec. 29th 2009 Charles A. Ercole, Esquire a partner with the law firm of Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg LLP filed a Class Action Lawsuite against Arrow Trucking, alleging violations of the Worker’s Adjustment, and Retraining Notification Act (the “WARN Act”), as well as state wage payment laws.

You’re not 16 years old anymore. Speeding is dangerous; it wastes fuel and creates higher levels of toxic emissions. Speeds over 60 mph drastically impact fuel efficiencies – cars travelling at 75 mph use 20% more fuel. Trucks travelling at 75 mph use 50% more fuel and they also emit 100% more carbon monoxide, 50% more hydrocarbons and 31% more nitrogen oxides. If those numbers don’t want you to put restricker on your trucks, I don’t know what will. If you think saving a couple of cents on your diesel fuel prices is big, wait until you put this in place.

Crude oil prices and diesel fuel prices rise and fall at basically equal levels for most people. For illustration purposes let’s talk about these fluctuations as they relate to crude oil. Clearly, if you are going to hedge for diesel fuel prices you are probably going to want to do that against heating oil since there is no contract to trade on diesel fuel. Over the last 10 months you can call it. We have watched crude oil trade at $78 a barrel in October, $91 a barrel in December, $84 a barrel in February, and $113 a barrel in late April. Currently at the end of June a barrel is priced at less than $93. Nationally, we were paying $3.00 a gallon for diesel fuel in October. Our fleet truck cards have been burning ever since at $3.24 a gallon in December, $3.51 a gallon in February and $4.12 in May.

This reminds me of the old days when you needed a TCH card to buy diesel fuel at Flying J and a Comdata card to buy diesel fuel everywhere else. I bet those smart guys at the Federal Government in the FCC when they were looking at Pilot buying Flying J never thought about this one.

Placement of the tree is very important. Place the stand on a small sheet in the center of the room. Now decorate your tree. When finished with your decorating, you will find it easy to slowly pull the tree where you want it by gently pulling on the sheet. You can remove the sheet by rolling it up and sliding it under the tree stand one leg at a time.

This Santa coloring page features Santa holding a Merry Christmas sign. This would be a great coloring page to let your child do and include in buy here to loved ones.

There are many websites that offer printable cards for free. Simply choose your card and follow the directions to print. Some sites will allow you to customize the inside, or choose from different holiday greetings and wishes.

Even though most Christmas trees are farmed and are considered to be a renewable resource, it takes a great deal of resources to cultivate and transport these into our communities. Instead of selecting a fresh cut tree for your home this year, think outside of the box and try creating one out of painted cardboard. Begin your project by cutting out circles that reduce in size slightly out of cardboard. Once your cut outs have dried, insert a wooden dowel through the center of all of your discs. Decorate your tree as you would a traditional tree, with lights and ornaments. IF you are missing the fresh tree smell, you can purchase as evergreen holiday scented candle.
